The North London Solidarity Federation is happy to host a talk by a Nick Driedger, a trade unionist, anarcho-syndicalist, and IWW militant in the Canadian Post. Recent months have seen waves of escalating struggle in postal services around the world. Canada has been no exception and Nick has been at the centre of various direct actions from 50+ strong “marches on the boss” to mass picketing that led to workers storming a letter depot and locking management inside for almost seven hours.
Nick will cover all this in detail and, more importantly, discuss the groundwork that went into ratcheting up the militancy that allowed such actions to occur. Please stick around afterwards for drinks and discussion.
A flier is attached so feel free to print one one out and stick it in your local 'pillar box' where it will be picked up in the post, brought back to the sorting office and hopefully seen by all your local posties!
More information on Nick's background and organising can be found here:
Hosted by the North London Solidarity Federation.
