NLSF members out to support Victimized Pret a Manger worker
Members of North London Solidarity Federation today joined with other activists, trade unionists, and members of the public to demand reinstatement of a victimized Pret a Manger worker.
Andrej, who is based in a London branch of Pret, was unfairly disciplined after a group of his workmates got together to demand better treatment on the job. His appeal hearing was today at the Pret a Manger head office in Victoria and some fifteen to twenty people, complete with banners, flags, and chants held a spirited protest outside. Leaflets were handed out and of the passersby we spoke to, support was nearly universal.
Our message to Pret is simple: respect workers rights. If you don't, more protests are on the way.
