EW Issue 8: Academy Special
In this issue we focus on academies - what they are, what they do, why they are a problem and what should be done about it.
Education workers lift the lid on what's happening inside the industry and investigate recent developments in places like Downhills in London, where the government has been in a running battle with teachers, parents in Haringey over the future of their community's school services.
Finally, we set out some of our thoughts on what happens next, and how we think workers in our industry can fight back.
